Forbidden Journey to the Wizarding World

Our recent trip to Harry Potter World.  It was awesome-- one of the highlights of our whole trip.   Unfortunately, our hair dos were not.  Above: the infamous Butterbeer!  It was so super delicious!  (like a smooth cream soda with a butterscotch cream on top...so good we had it twice!)

So much of this was for the girl you see right in this picture.  Her face made it all worth it!

Sorry about the reflection on the glass-- the wanted poster of Sirius Black moved just like in the movie.

We loved all the shops, from Honeydukes to Zonkos to Ollivanders.  Ollivanders was amazing!  They did a wand demonstration (had to wait in line 40 min for this) that was a highlight for all of us.  Lets just say the wand chose the wizard, a randomly chosen kid in our group.

Breakfast at the Three Broomsticks.  SO yummy.

The Bludger in the shop window was moving, just like in the  movies.

Picture of Gilderoy in a shop window moved, too.  Wow!  I was so amazed at all their attention to detail.

Hogwarts was a real highlight, too.  The paintings in this room looked like real oil paintings but moved and talked.  Pictured is Rowena Ravenclaw.  Waiting in line for this ride was such a treat-- even better than the ride.  It was hard to tear ourselves away at times and follow the line!

Dumbledore's study, so beautifully recreated, sorry this picture is so dim.

"Smoke" rising from the chimneys?  Like I said, awesome attention to detail.

Future Quidditch star right here.

I didn't want to leave!  What a great time.   Heres to hoping they'll build one of these in California (we heard this is a possibility).
